It is once in a lifetime experience to study abroad. Enjoying the culture of different universities is something that every student would wish for but cannot always obtain because it is very expensive to leave home, let alone and move to a totally different country. There is also the likelihood of homesickness and venturing into the unknown, and both can unhinge even the most stable individual. These are the reasons why many individual students are put off studying abroad. However, there is now a way in which many students can study at a different, frequently more prestigious and yet foreign university without leaving the luxury of their living rooms. Online degrees are considered as a waste of time to most of the traditionalists as they accept the dregs of the society assuming that they could not get into another educational program. There are published essays and articles published to that result. Indeed that is not the case. In fact, online education leaves education open to those who could have gone if they were given the opportunity. They are no more or less smart than individuals attending a campus university, and there has actually been research to prove that online universities could actually be better for an individual's health than those individual students have to attend every day! |
